This superb UK 1st MONO pressing dates from initial December 1969 release on the unboxed red & silver Decca label: LK.5025

The 'JT' purchase tax code is present in both run-outs only.

Housed in a front laminated 'Upton Printing Group' printed cover with mono/stereo hole in the upper right corner of the rear panel.

Complete with its red inner-sleeve crediting 'The London Bach Choir', later blocked-out/removed at their insistence.

This copy also comes with its original Victor Kahn designed full-colour poster measuring 52 x 47 cms (approx. 20.5" x 18.5")

A vivid & vibrant set bearing just a small handful of tiny light spindle trails around the side 2 centre hole but none on the other.

Visual: EXCELLENT +

Immaculate deep-gloss playing surfaces which retain all of their factory shine in strong daylight. The only visible mark is a light 1.5cm scuff on track 1 of side 2 along with three pin-head-sized bumps in the vinyl itself on the same side. Closer inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals nothing more than some faint inner-sleeve storage marks and a sparkling rainbow shine.

Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +

This fine sounding copy has clearly been barely played and the sounding quality is totally unworn throughout with no trace of any groove/playwear distortion anywhere. Some light vinyl background is noticeable on the quiet beginning of of 'Love In Vain' and also in some of the album's other quieter passages. However the entire album is free from any clicks, ticks, or indeed any other audible distractions.

Cover: EXCELLENT +

An extremely clean and strong example which retains an unscratched high-gloss laminate with just two small wrinkles towards the lower right edge but no 'thumbnails' or any other signs of wear. There is slight bruising to three corners but both opening edges are perfectly sharp and totally unworn.

The exposed, unlaminated rear panel is unworn with the only blemish being partially erased '7/6' numbers in the upper left corner.

There is a little shelfwear rubbing along the lower edge but both seams are unstressed & unsplit.

The spine is clean & unworn along its entire length.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Clean & flat with some storage creasing in one corner but no writing, seam splits or tears.

Poster: NEAR MINT

Factory-folded and unhung with no damage or wear to any part.
