AMERICA GIOVANE - ITALIAN LIBRARY Lp by REMIGIO DUCROS. Original Italian pressing on LEO label (LR 25), from circa 1970. Desirable Library set with killer mood music by the cult arranger. Ducros was the mastermind behind Tempo Di Naja / Lo Sport and La Palla e Rotonda Library. This session uses similar hard drums and includes the stunning BLACK CONGREGATION comped on Suono Libero Vol 2 (one of the very rare examples of an Italian Library theme with lyrics). Moody deep funk bassline / sleazy drum patterns and spiritual vocal jazz chorus throughout this amazing theme. BLACK NOT COLOURED is another version of his Sgambetto / Sgambata theme, this time done in a straight up funk 45 style with congas and B-Boy drums and breaks. RIDE ON is hot and sticky swamp funk with hip hop drum patterns. Think Italian Library meets The Meters with hazy fender rhodes electric piano too. Crunching drum break loops on the fuzz rock tune CAMPUS SIT IN and fender rhodes funk with psych jazz flute a la Barigozzi / Gino Marinacci on THE NEW PHYLOSOPHY. An inspired musical interpretation of the early '70s young America / Italian hippie sound of the period. Other, strange country fried pop / hippy folk rock tunes sound like missing themes from Un Uomo Dalla Pelle Dura film soundtrack by Carlo Pes. Cool, psychedelic sleeve artwork to match the music. Ducros is hotter than hot right now. Very rare Library Lp!!! Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is closer to shiny, M- condition overall with a few hairlines from sleeve removal. Light surface noises. Big production sound. Taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of the soundclip. The thin card laminated sleeve is in strong VG++ condition (closer to in M- overall) with light general wear. Corner dings / light wear to open side corners. Some ring dirt marks / mini stains from storage to back sleeve. Camera flash glare to sleeve / label photo. Very rare Library Lp!!!
