RCA LDS-6065-The Royal Ballet
Pressing: 1S-1S-1S-1S:Here it is, the Holy Grail of RCA Living Stereo. Both records are in Near Mint visual condition, really beautiful. However, sonically there are a few flaws I must point out. On side 1, there is some intermittent crackling at the very beginning that lasts about 45 seconds, then the rest of this side plays just fine. On side 2, band 2, there is some distortion that starts about half way through the band. Itlasts for several minutes, and does get somewhat loud. There are absolutely no flaws I can see that would account for it, no scratches, no scuffs, no visible pressing defects. I am completely mystified as to why this distortion occurs, but unfortunately it is there. Side 3 plays fine.Side 4 play fine except for one tiny pressing bubble that sounds very, very mildly for about 4 revolutions. It'sbarely audible, and hardly worth mentioning, but I want to be as thorough as possible describing this record. Please keep in mind that while I have tried to be as exhaustive as possible describing the imperfections of this record, the fact is that 90% of this recording plays just fine. The box is indecent condition, nomajor problems, just average wear. Thehandbill and booklet are present as well,they have some wrinkling and spotting, but nothing really terrible.
If you know RCA's, you know what a phenomenal rarity this is. Personally speaking, this is the only copy of this recording I have ever encountered in my life, another one may never come along..... I will ship this record worldwide. Good luck with your bids!!!
