VG+(+) The Overall grading for All parts Combined of this elaborate Set
GENUINE 4S/1S/1S/1S 'I'-INDY SHADED DOG ORIGINAL VINYLS Sides 1,2,3 and 4
dead wax run-down:
side 1 ~ J2 RY7958-4S B1 - I (Indy) side 2 ~ J2 RY7959-1S A1 - I (Indy) side 3 ~ J2 RY7960-1S A2 - I (Indy) side 4 ~ J2 RY7961-1S A2 - I (Indy)
vinyl condition run-down as follows:
side 1 appears as strong VG+(+) and plays well with a visual superfical scuff or line here or there
side 2 appears as very strong VG+(+) and plays well with a visual superfical scuff or line here or there
side 3 appears as strong EX+ and plays well with a visual superfical scuff or faint line here or there
side 4 are strong EX and plays well with a visual superfical scuff or faint line here or there
grading standards are strong vg+(+) version of this:
1) '.....VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable ....'
2) '... EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing....'
ON THE 2-RECORD SET COPY OFFERED IN THIS LISTING:
mostly a minor storage or even minor handling flaw (sides 1, 2, 3, & 4) here or there but
overall nothing more than all four sides having been played, owned and enjoyed and well cared-for
resulting in an occasional noise or sign of play - nothing major that would
seriously hamper listening enjoyment
SIDE 1 always seems to get played the most and so....
you might likely hear an occasional sign of
previous play or handling over the course of all 4 sides = vg+(+) to ex+
all vinyl imperfections i've noticed or heard were from superficial scuff here and there
or previous plays mainly on side #1 - and it still plays very well - full sonic bloom and forces present
with a storage scuff perhaps or surface line from removal/insert to poly-vinyl sleeve
vinyl from side 1, 2, 3 and 4 is vg+(+) to ex+
original box is structurally intact with only normal and minor storage wear
the box is NOT totally-shredded on any of it's corners or 'coming apart' at all
there exist some minor storage scuffing on usual bottom spine and this example offered is a strong vg+(+)
the worst offending 'corner' (always the bottom spine) is intact with non-totally-shredded/falling apart condition
the infamous 'mustard' colour of the 'box' has a handsome and geniune previously-owned patina
guaranteeing it's proud & well cared-for previous ownership
booklet is the original with original rca/soria poly-sleeve and mini-brochure/'card'
a very small 'bite' taken out of page 1 - not an ex but still acceptable for such a
sought-after and scarce original issue
booklet is just barely beginning to shows signs of aging in it's binding
lable on side three has had some kind of sticker removed so
that lable on only side 3 is not entirely blemish free - a minor consideration
unless you are lable-spotting - do not expect 100% perfection in this offering but do expect a still
collectible and playable example that has been carefully enjoyed
and an accurately and conservatively graded classic rca shaded top-dog soria
additional notes:
RCA Living Stereo LDS-6065 (2-LP box set, shaded dog label, Indianapolis pressing 4S/1S/1S/1S, Soria Series, cloth covered slipcase with wooden spine and lavishly illustrated booklet)

LPs: vg+(+) to Excellent + ...... I have listened to THIS set in its entirety in the past and with only
occasional brief exceptions: there are no problems preventing the magic of this issue
and it's recording from being enjoyed and revealed as you'd expect from this legendary treasure
IF it were just one grade higher of uniform condition i would upgrade the
overall stated vinyl condition on ALL four sides as ex+(+) ---
so instead i conservatively rate it over all 4 sides as follows:
vg+(+) to ex+
