Martha Bass has that fantastic hard to find Soul Funk delivery that made her a sensation in the world of Gosel music. This LP is one of her most desired records to date. The tune ?Rescue Me? on this LP transcends just that, Soul Funk Gospel. Her delivery is impeccable. This is one of her finest efforts, taking the older gospel soul feel into the Mod Soul sub genre which her daughter Fontella Bass was known for, Fontella had a smash hit with ?Rescue Me? in 1965.
