PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. RARE...30 years old British-ONLY first pressing of terrific Psychedelic garage glories by The Misunderstood... Here's the original UK pressing and was a rather limited specialty pressing way back then... "Before the Dream Faded" may be the closest thing to the Dead Sea Scrolls for devotees of early psychedelic music and garage rock. "Before the Dream Faded" is a rare document of a marginally famous band that was at ground zero of the underground music movement.

IF you're searching for the great lost psychedelic group of the 1960s, or the American version of the Yardbirds, this record miraculously fits the bill. A band of California expatriates who achieved recognition in the 60's London underground before they were forced to disband due to immigration and draft problems, this was an awesomely powerful lineup which intriguingly mixed psyched-raga-rock, blues-rock, and plain old Yardbird styled rave-ups around the amplified distortion wizardry of lead guitarist (on steel!) Glenn Ross Campbell (later in UK's Juicy Lucy). Recorded in late 1966, the six songs on side one show the group at the peak of their power, with striking 'heady' innovations and interplay which anticipate Jimi Hendrix and the Pink Floyd months before either had recorded. Campbell is one of the best unheralded rock guitarists; his playing suggests the missing link between the Yardbirds and Hendrix, with amazing amplified Middle Eastern whines, wails, and explosions. Despite some recklessly revelatory lyrics, the group's nerve-wrackingly daring time changes, Indian-like modes and unconventional song structures along with their otherworldly interpretations (Who Do You Love, I Unseen), create a killer thrust which is on par with the best efforts of the era. Side two consists of demos made before the group moved to London (some without Campbell). Although not as noteworthy as side one, it's still well worth hearing, including takes from their early garage band days (a weird cross between the Yardbirds and Beau Brummels), tentative early forays into blues-rock, and a revolutionary raga-rock treatment of the Yardbirds' I'm Not Talking. Although the Misunderstood released only a couple singles in their lifetime (1965-1966), this album (most of it previously unreleased) is still mindblowing, and really unlike anything you've ever heard before.
