Description
This was acquired by my brother, it belonged to his friend who has sadly recently passed away. There are a number of signed presentation records that are up for sale of which this is one. Please bear in mind that i do not have any C.O.A. or any proof of provenance but i am a record collector/HI-fi enthusiast and they look genuine to me. On the back of the frame is an empty wallet where i assume some C.O.A. or the like was once kept. This has been professionally framed and looks expensive a real head turning item. This is a real collectors item but it would look at it's best displayed in public area maybe a bar or restaurant. This particular frame is in very good to excellent condition with only the very slightest of marks- barely noticeable. The gentleman that owned these was one of the duty managers at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London's West End during the 1970's and 1980's. I have tried to remove the album from the presentation set to basically either keep it (my preferred option) or list it as signed album only, however, it is glued to the backplate and is therefore set as is, in the presentation frame. Having the record cover out of the frame, I noticed scuffing to some of the edge's and corners, there are a few tiny indentations on the cover, but this is not noticeable once in the frame and there is a very small liquid stain on the gate fold edge, possibly beer, again, not noticeable once framed.
Bearing all this in mind and the fact that the gentleman met stars and celebs on a regular basis I don't think that someone would go through the process of framing a marked and worn album, with anything other than genuine signatures.
The album was professionally framed with a holographic security seal before I decided to see if the album could be removed and therefore posted internationally or more to the point put in my record collection after a chat with my brother! As a result of it remaining framed, it can not be posted internationally.Therefore now available as a UK only auction. Collection from East London or East Sussex prefered, but can post. Estimate the cost of postage to be in the region of £20.00.
