Description

Remember when you were young? You shone like the sun...

I've been looking after ALL of these gems by one of the most enduring psychedelic cum progressive bands for many, many years. I grow tired...must start reclaiming space!!!

This collection of works by Messrs. Waters, Gilmour, Mason and Wright are all uniquely interesting, and every LP ranges from very good to superb condition. All of these albums have been stored in a steady climatic state, with plastic cover sleeves and nice, dark, dry conditions. No mold, or yellowing, or dried out glue and related cover deterioration. All of the albums are highly playable - occassional pops on The Wall, and one as well on Meddle (Careful With That Axe, Eugene!) but I think this is more than offset by the overall quality of the collection. Taken into account, there is nothing to get too bent out of shape about here - it's a very sound collection. The price reflects all of these considerations; very, very fair considering the TLC these LPs have received from me for 3 decades (imagine, some of these LPs are older than some of you!!!).

In total, this is an excellent foundation for any young Pink Floyd fan (ouch!) who might just be discovering the band and didn't have the pleasure (nay, joy!) of growing up with them on vinyl.

The material is vast and legendary, and everything holds up extremely well to the passage of time. I think it is also pointless to try and classify all of these LPs within any kind of Rock 'n Roll sub-genre. As much as Pink Floyd gets tagged as Progressive Psychedelic or other such claptrap, I would assert the material is just very pleasing. Included titles, almost in chronological order (apologies to afficianados) are:

Sleeves - and some absolutely amazing cover art and inside cover art - are in very good condition - a few wipeable fingerprints, that's all! There is an unpeeled Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon" banner sticker included from that particular album - I'm not sure if you can find these anywhere anymore!!! Nice little bonus, maybe? Unfortunately, the funky poster with the color-filtered pyramids is long gone. Sorry about that - but I was a teenager with my own bedroom walls - so hey!!! Aside from that, all other original inserts are included in this sale...nothing has been stripped.

It is not easy for me to part with this collection of old friends. So, you should buy these albums before I change my mind!!! Don't miss this opportunity to treat your ears to some amazing musicianship by one of the world's most enduring rock icons - captured for all time on vinyl.
