Description

An original and very 1st press of OBSCURED on the UK Harvest label. Matrix A1/B1 -1st cut. Stampers 2-OG/2OT. Note that the labels mention 'Gramophone' in the perimeter text - this is indicative of 1st issue. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover with rounded corners. We also have the original Harvest inner sleeve. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) Wowzer.. this is one hell of a well preserved copy. The surfaces are like mirrors and it has clearly only seen very light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of very slight marks, and a very superficial trail - absolutely nothing that's going to get remotely close to the audio. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. This copy of Obscured is probably one of the best I've witnessed. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much perfectly silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. The only thing I could pick out that was vaguely audible was a few crackles and a couple of slight ticks on the intro to side 2. But other than expect a knock-out rendition. Even the chanting at the end of side 2, which is a real struggle to find clean, is playing real sweet. Highly recommended!
Cover (Ex-) In very nice condition and this cover is particularly hard to find in good condition as it was manufactured so delicate. But this example has survived the years in fine fettle and has clearly been cared for. Surfaces are clean and unworn with hardly any sign of creasing. I'd probably have it graded up a tad higher were it not for just a touch of low-level ageing. Edge wear is slight for this title and the openings are still sharp. The spine looks great with all text fully legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing, But no splits.
