I have been a vinyl collector for over 20 years. Although I mostly collect, I do have to spring-clean now and again, so here goes....

TITLE Balaklava ARTIST Pearls Before Swine YEAR 1968 FORMAT 33rpm STEREO LABEL / CAT.NO: Fontana STL 5503 MATRIX NO.S 888802 1Y//2   and   2Y//1 COMMENTS This is the rare UK pressing of Pearls Before Swine's superb anti-war acid-folky first album. This is the best copy i have ever seen or heard! I assume it's the first pressing because the sleeve is a Dutch sleeve (Fontana were a branch of Phillips of Holland) with a UK cat.no. sticker on it. This was often done to albums with small original pressing runs to save money. If the album proved a hit then UK sleeves would be pressed from then on. Joni Mitchell's first LP for Reprise is in a Canadian sleeve with UK sticker, a lot of the Doors' early vinyl was in US sleeves etc.. CONDITION The labels are clean and unmarked - beautiful. NM The front laminated sleeve is in awsome condition with no marks or writing, no folds or creases. The opening and spine are razor sharp with no feathering or creasing. Wow! . NM

The vinyl is in awsome condition with a superb shine. It has no scuffs or marks or scratches and plays a dream with no clicks, pops or phhts. The music shows no distortion or groove-wear, which is great considering that there are many quiet passages on this album. When held up to the light you can see the faintest marks from sleeve removal, but you really have to stare to seem them. NM (NB The "marks" on the vinyl in the pictures is the reflection off the blinds on my window!!)

GRADED? play and visual 

 

Packing will be in proper vinyl mailers. The vinyl and inner sleeve will be removed from the outer sleeve to avoid seam splits in transit. The vinyl has always been kept in a poly-lined inner. The delivery will be recorded ("Signed for")
