SIGNED BY IGGY POP
Original 1970 Gatefold EKS-74071 release on Elektra Records.
I bought this Lp ages ago, it is a VERY RARE item made even more RARE by the fact that it is Signed by Iggy.
I saw Iggy play live on Lansdowne St. in Boston many years ago and after this killer show I spoke to him outside where he was gracious enough to sign this record for me. He went out of his way to be nice and, in fact, he waited around for a pen as I had actually forgotten to bring one. I was so impressed by his thoughtfulness and after he signed the record he smiled at me very sweetly and put his hand on my head in an affectionate gesture. I was touched by his kindness.
I am only selling these records because I am moving and want them to be well cared for.
If I have to give a grade to the vinyl I'd say maybe VG+?, but of course it's the actual sound that's important here, right? If there are superficial surface scuffs they do not seem to affect play. I am not a record dealer so please bear with me, I want you all to be happy with the records.
As much as I love Iggy I have played this record only once or twice in the past and just now as I am doing this listing.
THE VINYL SOUNDS FANTASTIC!
I don't hear any pop or crackles as I'm playing it, I cannot play the entire record but I seriously doubt that it has many, if any flaws at all.
DAMN, THIS IS A GREAT RECORD!!
The close up picture shows, in addition to dust, that vinyl is in excellent shape, (I'll let you clean off the dust.) If there are a couple of pops it may only be this dust. The cover is as shown, with slight ring wear and corner dings.
I bought professional record mailers, a cost that I am absorbing, and will ship records outside of their covers. I do not charge any extra or hidden fees; the records will be sent Airmail so that they can be insured. An LP in a professional mailer weighs about 10.2 ounces, gatefold and double Lps will weigh a bit more and may cost more to mail than the average Lp.
