THE STOOGES (Rhino Handmade Collector's Edition)
The Stooges – Iggy Pop, Ron and Scott Asheton and Dave Alexander – may have sounded like they were from the Stone Age, but the Ann Arbor quartet predicted the future of rock ’n’ roll more than 40 years ago with the untamable sonic assault of its self-titled 1969 debut on Elektra Records. Rhino Handmade celebrates the visionary group’s historic feedback-laden clarion call with a Collector’s Edition of that debut.  The 26-track collection has been issued in a 7” x 7” hardbound booklet that contains two CDs along with a 7” single that features the previously unreleased track “Asthma Attack.” A staple of the group’s early live shows, this is the first time a studio version of the song has been released.  The Collector’s Edition’s first disc combines the original album’s eight songs with producer John Cale’s original mixes, including unreleased versions of “We Will Fall” and “Ann.” Also featured is the mono single version of “I Wanna Be Your Dog.”
The second disc opens with “Asthma Attack,” a breathless spectacle of a song written when The Stooges’ 20-minute live sets were dominated by arty experiments in feedback and improvisation. The remainder of the disc presents an alternate version of the original album with alternate takes of every song, including full versions of “No Fun” and “Ann,” plus unreleased versions of “We Will Fall,” “Real Cool Time” and the album closer, “Little Doll.”
FUN HOUSE
Widely considered one of the best rock albums of all time, The Stooges' 1970 sophomore release features the proto-punk classics "Loose," "1970," and "L.A. Blues." Though a poor seller and almost universally panned upon initial release, Fun House has since been recognized as a true American classic. It is loud, breathtaking music without which much of the punk and hard rock that followed would be unimaginable. This vinyl version of Fun House is pressed on 180-gram audiophile vinyl and comes with gatefold LP sleeve.
RAW POWER
Iggy And The Stooges Raw Power is hands down one of the most influential albums of all time! Sony/Legacy now proudly presents the 1973 cornerstone of punk on a 2LP-set with LP1 featuring the original 1973 David Bowie mix and LP2 featuring the 1997 Iggy Pop mix. The gatefold set also includes a 16-page booklet with rare photos and liner notes. First released on Columbia Records in 1973, the savagely bombastic Raw Power by Iggy & The Stooges is perhaps the first record that could truly be called punk. Produced by Iggy Pop and mixed by David Bowie, it was the confluence of the Stooge’s ages, hormones, creativity, ability, experience, tastes, lack of supervision, contempt for authority, and ambition that has made Raw Power one of the most iconic and revered albums of all time!
