So, up for auction is a very rare original UK very 1st vinyl pressing of the Peter Bardens’ The Answer debut solo album that Transatlantic released in 1970 on the original 1st press white and purple Transatlantic label in Stereo - there were NO Mono copies - with Cat No TRA 222, first Matrix Nos STRA-222-A1 [A side] and STRA-222-B1 [B side, both machine - stamped] pressed on thick quality vinyl and housed in a 1st press fully laminated cover! This album, that only ever sold in absolutely tiny amounts and was almost immediately deleted, is also very sought after by fans not only of the progressive band Camel - as Peter Bardens was a founding member when they formed in ’71 - but of Peter Green too as is, together with Bardens, responsible for the dope - dominated sound on the album - although he is credited as Andy Gee on guitar!
This copy for sale is the original United Kingdom first-press issue, with first-press labels and first-press identification numbers. This long-deleted, difficult to find in any condition and rarely seen on eBay excellent record has become highly-prized by collectors of quality vinyl and lovers of fine music. So, do not miss …

Grading:I use the GOLDMINE standards for grading STRICTLY & CONSERVATIVELY the condition of the items listed. The grading is mostly visual, though I d? “spot check” each of the songs.

I personally write all of my own descriptions, take all of my own photos, and package all items for mailing myself.
