PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
From a collecting standpoint, this is just about as good as it gets. Unquestioningly the most prized item in my entire Ramones collection, this LP was included in a collection I bought some time in the 1990s from the former manager of the Sounds Good Records store in Boys Town/Wrigleyville here in the Chicago. She was a punk and when the Ramones came to her store to promote Road To Ruin she was first in line for signatures. Every member signed the cover next to his respective image on the cover with the exception of Marky, who politely signed the pink band text at the top. When Road To Ruin was released Marky had only just replaced Tommy at the kit. This pressing is a RARE original Greg Calbi mastered Winchester first pressing on Sire from 1977 with STERLING dead wax stamp and original glossy black & white printed inner sleeve with complete lyrics. Vinyl is a gorgeous near mint minus and cover is easily VG+, close to VG++ with a hint of ring. A high grade copy in collector condition. This one is for serious collectors with all the bells and whistles so don't sleep. You will not be disappointed. You won't find a fully signed original Winchester first pressing in this condition again. A massively collectible rarity.
