We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

Rare (Hard to find) GOLD label FIRST 1967 VINYL pressing of the first Grateful Dead album, a forever classic psychedelic garage platter that sounds cool every time it's listened to...an integral part of San Francisco's hippie sensation...
The rare highly collectible MONO pressing offers different song mixes from the stereo release, and, as well, features the punchy bold monaural sound production that sounds so appropriate for the era ...way different from the stereo issue!
1967, San Francisco, The Dead. The bands first excursion into the studio, which is a place that they were never very comfortable with... (in fact they have admitted that they were ALL hyped up on various psychedelic drugs during these sessions, and had sort of a rough time recording it..) There is the early 45 released GOLDEN ROAD, and the enjoyable MINGLEWOOD BLUES (one of the signature picks from way back).. there are more equally catchy tunes like BEAT IT ON DOWN THE LINE and the gutter blues via Pigpen's GOOD MORNING LITTLE SCHOOL GIRL (though not as developed as some more classic live versions).. plus wonderful Jerry Garcia trips like CREAMPUFF WAR, COLD RAIN & SNOW and MORNING DEW. Altogether, there's a different mood that strikes for this album in particular... a sixties garage album all the way, so, pop a flower in your hair and get ready to dance in that weird, tripped out flower child kind of groove, baby. The Dead heads first, an album released in March 1967, recorded in a marathon time of about 70 hours. The album was very rough and tumble, and only one song hinted torwards the epic jams in their live shows the exquisite- Viola Lee Blues.

CONDITION: The cover is great...solid, no seam problems, no bends "EX" (excellent) ...the front & back cover graphics are still very vibrant and colorful. Otherwise strong... The back cover with cool reversed DEAD negative is VERY clean....
The vinyl with GOLD Warner Brothers label is VG+ to "VG++" has a few small short superficial little thin scuffs that amount to no more than inner sleeve type paper marks from sliding the record in and out of the jacket ...expect to play in excellent levels.
A cool addition to anyone's music library!
