Description
The Smiths “The Headmaster Ritual" (1985) original 12" MD 125295 (free shipping / no tariffs)
The opening track of the Meat Is Murder album, recorded at Amazon Studios in Liverpool, was released as a single in Holland on the Megadisc label, featuring an entirely unique picture sleeve. This release also includes the same four live tracks found on the B-side of That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore U.K. 12".
The front cover features a black and white still image of then seven year old actor, Christopher Ariss, dressed as a cowboy taken from the 1965 U.K film "The Uncle".
The plain back cover lists the credits and tracks, all recorded live except for the A-side, taken from the superb concert at the Oxford Apollo Theatre, England on March 18, 1985.
This is the only worldwide Smiths' release to use this artwork in any form, making it a great collectible. See more details below.
