Soul Junction revives a lost gem of Southern soul with the reissue of 'Since I Found My Baby' and 'Let Me Down Easy' by Marshall, Donovan & Broomfield, two lovingly cut 1978 covers of Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose classics that became cult favourites among UK modern soul dancers. Led by former Tams vocalist John Marshall, the group's brief but wonderful run captured rich harmonies and warm production in heartfelt performances recorded at Atlanta's Jam Studios. This reissue pairs the sought-after flip, which is now commanding four-figure prices on the seance hand market, with the radiant 'Let Me Down Easy' and the smooth stepper 'That's Love.' This restores a treasured chapter of Augusta soul to vinyl once again.
