The group's second British album — released just as the original lineup was entering a state of collapse with the impending departure of two key members — shows some of the changes that can happen in a year, as they moved away from Chess Records' brand of blues as their baseline. Instead, they produced a sound that's slightly smoother and a lot more soulful. A handful of originals, mostly by Mike Vickers and Mike Hugg with one Paul Jones-authored number thrown in, are scattered amid covers of songs originated by the Temptations, the Skyliners, and T-Bone Walker. If it isn't as fierce, bold, or daringly ambitious as the Manfreds' debut long-player, Mann Made is just as much a virtuoso effort, and a surprisingly cohesive one, considering that it was released immediately after Mike Vickers and Paul Jones announced their respective departures from the band

LABELS: The labels are clean and bright with no marks/unwanted writing, just a little hole wear and a few light spindles (please see close-up photo of label) - played but not over-played this is a very nice copy indeed
VINYL Visual: The vinyl still retains its original deep glossy sheen with just a couple of superficial light marks on the surfaces but these have no audio consequence - the playback is sensational - visually EXCELLENT
VINYL Audio: Superb mono cut on this LP with a warm, deep and rich sound - beautifully recorded. On playback at a loud volume (which is how I always listen to my LPs prior to listing) there are no scratches, sticks or jumps, no loud clicks or pops and no evident surface noise. The whole LP plays to an extremely high standard throughout with great clarity, no distortion and no groove-wear and sounds absolutely fantastic. Critically graded as NEAR MINT for audio quality this is a great copy and one which would be pretty hard to beat
SLEEVE: The original front laminated flipback sleeve is also in great condition. The front laminate has a nice deep gloss with very little rubbing and the back is remarkably clean. Apart from some feathering to the opening edge all the other edges are sharp with no wear to speak of and all text on the spine is clear and bold - A very fine example - clean and crisp - EXCELLENT+
