ITEM:   RARE AND IN DEMAND WLP LP,  " Julie London Sings Latin In A Satin Mood ".  THIS IS NOT A LATER REPRODUCTION OR RE-ISSUE - IT IS THE ORIGINAL USA PROMOTIONAL LP ON THE DEEP GROOVE, WHITE LIBERTY LABEL.  Released in 1963 by Liberty Records, catalog number LRP-3278 MONO. It is one of Julie London's most sought after LP's.

COMMENTS / CONDITION: This LP came from my personal collection - it is not a beat up item bought at a yard sale. It was part of a large private collection I acquired from a South Florida Radio DJ over 25 years ago. The record was visually graded, and was test played.

During the 1960's, Stereophonic recordings were the rage among buyers, and as a result, record companies manufactured mostly Stereo LP's, and a relatively limited pressing of Monaural copies. Because of this,  there are fewer existing mono copies to be had. Many collectors will pay a premium for these copies.

Grading is according to Goldmine Standards. If you are not familiar with that system, please go to the Goldmine web site and read the grading details BEFORE YOU BID.

Vinyl is in a VG+ to Excellent Condition with a full gloss luster. There are no warps, deep scratches, cracks, or chips, or excessive groove wear. A close inspection under a bright light source revealed a few wispy scuffs and hairlines which are cosmetic and do not affect the playback or listening enjoyment of the performances. On my older system, both sides played quietly with no issues. There were no pops, skips, or groove lock. NOTE: Sound quality will vary from system to system. The above comments are included strictly as reference, and are not a statement as to the experience you may have with your equipment.

Both deep groove labels are in like new, clean condition with no peeling edges, rips, or writing. The center hole is perfectly round and shows no signs of abusive playing.

The inner sleeve is the original studio illustrated paper sleeve, and is also in very good condition. No split seams, rips, tears, holes, stains, or writing. There are a few minor crease lines and ring wear.

I have not tried to clean the vinyl or the labels. Serious collectors usually have their own preferred methods they use to care for their records.

Cover is in VG+  condition, with crisp, bright colors, and clear, sharp photos and artwork. Edge/shelf wear and chipping is present, mostly on the bottom seam. The front cover has minor ring wear, light crease lines, and a small ding on the opening edge. The back cover has "AUDITION RECORD" stamped in the lower right corner, and minor soiling from handling and usage. This is not a cut-out, there are no drill holes, notches, or clipped corners.  Also, there are no stickers, labels, or price tags.  The spine is straight and firm and easily readable.
