X-RAY SPEX – FULLY SIGNED 1977 UK DEBUT 7” ‘OH BONDAGE UP YOURS’

You are about to bid on a very rare fully autographed copy of the classic debut single by X-Ray Spex. It is probably one of the best UK punk records ever made. It is the original, bought on day of release and autographed not long after by the band. One previous owner from new (that was who got it signed).

The sleeve has been signed by Poly Styrene, Jak Airport, Paul Dean, BP Hurding & Steve ‘Rudi’. Poly has also drawn a face under her name & written No 1 on her forehead which I can only assume was where she wanted the single to go (it didn’t). However is now seen as one of the most important singles of the 1970’s UK punk scene.

The signatures are all written in what looks like black ballpoint pen, and although they have faded a bit over time they are still nice and vibrant (they stand out much better than you see on the images - this looks superb in the flesh, so to speak). The condition is the sleeve is Very Good, with no rips or tears, just a little nick to the opening edge and a little fraying. The record is Nr Mint.

You will not find much signed by this legendary London punk band today, This is a very very rare item.  One of the defining records of the UK Punk era, and in my opinion up there with the GSTQ, New Rose etc.  Finding genuine signed X-Ray Spex memorabilia is rarer than Hen's teeth.  If you have never heard this band do yourself a favour & go buy ‘Germ Free Adolescence’, it is an amazing record.

This along with my entire record collection recently moved with me from London to Australia, I will be selling a large part of it off over the coming weeks/months. This will include many many rare UK punk records & maybe one or two other signed items if I can stand to part with them. I also have a signed copy of the Germ Free Adolescence 7” which I may or may not list depending of what this one achieves.
