Inner Life was an American club-oriented soul studio project formed in 1979 that enjoyed success with "I'm Caught Up (In a One Night Love Affair)" (1979), "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" (1981), and "Moment of My Life" (1982).[1] Tracks featured the vocals of Jocelyn Brown and Leroy Burgess(formerly of Black Ivory).[1] They were produced and arranged by Patrick Adams and engineered by Bob Blank and Joe Arlotta, the album was originally produced for executive producer Greg Carmichael, whose Red Greg Records was an early and prolific disco label based in New York Jocelyn Lorette Brown (born November 25, 1950),sometimes credited as Jocelyn Shaw, is an American R&B and dance singer.Although she has only one Billboard Hot 100 chart entry solely in her name,[3] she has an extensive background in the music industry and is well known in the world of dance music. Brown sang on 23 hit singles from the Official UK Singles Chart, 8 of which have reached the top 20. Brown further developed her musical career in the late 1970s singing on records by studio-created bands like Revanche, Musique, Inner Life, Disco-Tex and the Sex-O-Lettes, Cerrone, Bad Girls, Chic, and Change,later singing with the Salsoul Orchestra, Soiree or Dazzle in 1979
François Kevorkian (born 10 January 1954), also known by the stage name François K, is a French-born, U.S.-based DJ, producer, remixer and label owner of Armenian descent, who started his career DJing in clubs such as the Paradise Garage and Studio 54. Kevorkian has produced and remixed work by a diverse range of musicians including The Smiths, Adam Ant, Kraftwerk, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Diana Ross, Gloria Estefan and U2, and is considered one of the forefathers of house music. He was offered a role in A&R for a nascent dance independent record label, Prelude Records, which allowed him to go into the studio and do remixes
