Iron Maiden : Best Of The Beast A1 / B1 4LP Limited Edition Box Set EMDX 1097 (UK)
This limited edition box set has been so well looked after and for once the box itself is in excellent shape with only minimal wear. 'Shape' is the operative word here because it has retained its original shape and structure very well. The 'top' has only minimal compression which is quite rare because there is a gap inside the box which can lead to it. Photo no 4 doesn't show compression at the end that is just the angle of the 'opening edge'. The corners have only a little rubbing, just a little more on the opening section perhaps, but most importantly there are no corner splits. The edges are in excellent order with only a little wear / rubbing. The 'Melt' sticker is still perfectly attached to the front and the back cover 'sheet' has only light creasing in the two right hand corners. There is just a little 'rubbing' near the bottom of the sheet also. Overall this is a very respectable 'box' and better than so many you find today.
The vinyls are in great condition and have hardly been played. I have based this on the audio and visual quality and that there is no spindle wear on the labels. I have played extracts from every track and overall the sound quality is superb. On Vinyl One the quiet intro on 'Virus' does have a little static but then the quiet intro on the next track 'Sign Of The Cross' plays with stunning clarity for the vast majority. This vinyl has a couple of minor marks and some lighter hairlines but they have no affect on the audio. Vinyl Two is visually stunning with audio to match and Vinyl Three is just as impressive. The power and depth of the audio is incredible and the clarity of sound is on a par with that - the quiet section for example during 'Rime Of The Ancient Mariner' is as close to perfect that you will find. This vinyl has just one hairline on Side 2 that is a little more obvious, still faint though. Vinyl Four again plays with phenomenal quality as far as my 'research' goes and again even the quieter sections play with great clarity.
The glossy covers are practically 'as new' and it's only the first one that has some minor 'rubs' on the spine and bottom edge. The other three have only a couple of 'specks' on the edges. The picture inner sleeves are stunning and have no wear at all. None of the covers or inners have any side splits.
The 48 page hard cover book with photos, lyrics etc has barely any wear either. A minor crease at the foot of the spine but it's hardly worth mentioning.

Postage & Packaging
I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
