On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Dr Strangely Strange called "Heavy Petting" and is an ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press LARGE 'Spiral' Vertigo label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  IT IS ONE OF THE RAREST LPS EVER RELEASED ON THE VERTIGO LABEL - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1970 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT, IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  THIS LP IS MADE EVEN RARER STILL - AS IT IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - WITH A 'LARGE' SPIRAL ON THE LABELS (LATER ONES DONT!)!!!! 

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN GREAT CONDITION - AND CLEARLY HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!  AND WHILST THIS LP ISNT IN MINT CONDITION - IT IS A VERY VERY DECENT EXAMPLE INDEED, OF ONE OF THE ALL TIME RAREST VERTIGO LPs EVER MADE!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1970 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS LARGE 'SPIRAL' VERTIGO LABEL, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS VERTIGO INNER SLEEVE, AND 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'DIE-CUT' GATEFOLD 'FOLD-OUT' COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL UK Vertigo 1st Pressing from 1970 and is in GREAT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is 6360 009 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press LARGE 'Spiral' Vertigo Label (see picture) and is a UK 1970 Stereo 1st pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few VERY light spindle marks!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in GREAT condition overall - still looks BRILLIANT!!!! Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and at first glance this record looks SUPERB - with a STUNNING bright & glossy look!!!!  And even Side 1 is in BRILLIANT condition - with NO scratches, only 2 or 3 light hairlines, only 2 or 3 VERY light scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  Side 1 must EASILY visually grade Grade Very Good++ if not better!!!!  However someone in the past has perhaps been a little careless with Side 2 - as even though it still looks VERY bright & shiny indeed, there are 3 or 4 hairline type marks (these are LATERAL marks and NOT concentric - so the record does NOT jump AT ALL!), only 2 or 3 TINY surface marks, only 2 or 3 MEGA light hairlines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  And so despite Side 2 still looking VERY bright & shiny indeed - it can only visually grade Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!!  It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY (if not better!) as the visual with NO nasty loud pops, only a few VERY light clicks (though mostly NONE!), NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some slight background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - though this is lost WAY behind ALL but the VERY quietest parts of the music ONLY!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  Overall the record must only grade Good+ (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - though it is still a very VERY nice looking record indeed!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press Vertigo Inner Sleeve which is in GREAT condition - has NO splits, only some minor crinkling on 1 side, and is still FULLY 'poly lined'!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Die-Cut' Gatefold 'Fold-Out' Cover is in GREAT condition - and is very VERY solid indeed, and still looks BRILLIANT!!!!  The cover has NO edge splits, only some very VERY minor 'touching in' to the bottom edges of the fold outs (VERY hard to spot!), NO spinal wear (BOTH spines look BRILLIANT - with only the VERY faintest hint of 'touching in'!), NO sticker marks, only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), NO rubbing, NO ringwear, possible very VERY minor evidence of 'tipping in' to the corners, NO sticker tears, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edges are beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the back of the cover is in GREAT condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, only very VERY slight rubbing, and NO writing!!!!  The only minor detail to mention is that there is the usual inevitable split (100% solid here!) in the left hand fold-out (lower bottom) - though this has been PERFECTLY and PROFESSIONALLY repaired (NO tape!) is 100% strong in every way, and now simply looks like a creaseline here (see pictures!)!!!!  And of course, on this cover type - with so many colours and designs, it is very VERY easy to overlook!!!!  This cover really is in BRILLIANT condition and way WAY better than normal (most would grade far FAR higher than the grade I will give it!) - but I will grade very VERY strictly indeed to avoid ANY disappointment, and so this cover must grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better and is very VERY decent indeed!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!
