 SWIRL VERTIGO 6360 064, 1Y//2 and 2Y// 1 matrix. Barely played vinyl with absolutely TOP audio.  GIMMICK-GATEFOLD-sleeve in clean excellent (EX) condition! Comes with the OIS!

The album comes with a protective gatefold pvc outer sleeve.

!!!!AN IMPOSSIBLE FIND!!! A few hundred (rumoured to be around 300) were ever pressed of this fantastic prog/psych album. The very first time I have ever had this (in over 30 years of collecting). By comparison I had 2 Linda Hoyles and 3 Tudor Lodges before. These are supposed to be the rarest swirls with Catapilla and Ben. Hokus Poke is in my opinion just as rare. I don't think I will ever find one again.

Sensational sound quality, I have played this through in its entirety and it was a great joy!!! NO skips or jumps. NO clicks or crackle, this is really a stunning heavy glossy jet black vinyl .  Inspected under an intense lightsource and angled.   

      OF COURSE ALL PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL ITEM FOR AUCTION. THIS IS THE VERY EARLIEST FIRST UK PRESSING FROM 1972 OF A FINE DUAL GUITAR PROG ALBUM.  AGAIN SOME VERY FINE PLAYING ON THIS. THIS HAS BEEN BARELY PLAYED AT ALL, PERHAPS ONCE OR TWICE. THERE IS NOT ANY SPINDLE TRACE. ANOTHER COPY TAPED & THEN STORED. BOTH SIDES OF THE VINYL ARE IN THE ULTIMATE BEST NEAR MINT CONDITION. THE VINYL IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FAULT OR BEAT. YOU WILL NOT FIND BETTER VINYL THAN THIS.

RECORD 6360 064 with matrices 1Y//2 V 420 with stamper codes 1 1  1 and 2Y//1 V 420 with stamper codes 1 1       1. AGAIN YOU WILL NOT FIND ANY EARLIER STAMPERS THAN THESE, THE FIRST OUT OF THE FACTORY. 

                                  Background Info:

      The obscure London four-piece bagged a residency at the Thomas A. Becket public house in the Old Kent Road. A decent twin-guitar band, Wishbone Ash and Little Feat influences come across on some very good tracks. Bassist Smith Campbell went on to Clear Blue Sky and Roger Clarke formed Sailing Shoes.

They only released Earth Harmony in 1972. Essentially, Hokus Poke progressed along the lines of the electric blues pioneered by Cream five years earlier. However, the first half of the album is much more acoustic based which gives them their own sound. Sunrise Sunset is an astounding piece of music!!

Vinyl: EX++ to NM!! Sensational!!! I have played this in FULL twice over> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! I first played for a general listen and a second time for a more detailed observation. I particularly loved the track "Sunrise Sunset" and "Big World, Small Girl". I am very glad to be able to report that this is a fine slab of vinyl without any problems at all and as such worthy of inclusion of any great prog collection. It does not even have any crackle or static. Barely played at all, this has to be the very best vinyl of this album left on our planet!!!  Needless to say, NO jumps/clicks/skips etc.

Gatefold Sleeve: EX.  NO creases. This has a beautiful die-cut that apparently easily tears. NOT THIS ONE!! It is fully intact. Just have a look on the net and observe the state that most sleeves are in. A very hard sleeve to find in decent condition especially with it being matt and dark brown this is totally prone for wear. The spine is 100% legible. There is light edgewear and a colourfill to the right top. the inside gatefold has 2 small coloufills in the brown field. Other than that this sleeve rules supreme!!! A quite unusual feature is that the disc enters the sleeve from the inside. The opening is RAZORSHARP, another pointer to the NM state of the vinyl.This sleeve is lovely!!!!

Inner Sleeve: EX+. The original polylined inner Vertigo Swirl sleeve. NO tears or creases, you do not often find them like this.

***This is a unique investment opportunity!!! Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible!!! This is  a great and seriously collectable super album!!  You will buy into a piece of  prog core history.***

This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price. Only around 300 were ever pressed. How many would be left??? MEGA RARE!!
