Which studio album features the entire Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, practically the entire Grateful Dead, practically the entire Jefferson Airplane, one third of Santana, plus Joni Mitchell (whoa!!! - now that's what we call a line-up!). The Woodstock Festival? Why, of course not - it's not a studio album. Or, maybe Jefferson Airplane's "Surrealistic Pillow"? Wrong again - it only features Airplane plus Jerry Garcia; or maybe Ned Lagin’s  1974 "Seastones" with various members of Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane? Nah…not that one, either: it has no CSN&Y members on it.

If you answered David Crosby's first album: "If I could only remember my name" you were, of course, correct. The album is a major minor-key masterpiece: if you liked David Crosby's moody, brooding, delicate "Everybody's been burned" from the Byrds 1967 "Younger than yesterday" album, you are going to sleep with this album under your pillow. Guaranteed.

This just in: this album – for the reasons unbeknownst to us mortals, but probably having to do with some sort of Divine Intervention – has just been placed on the (gasp!) Official Vatican Top-10 Album Playlist (we kid you not). (a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL  AS  (WEAK) NEAR MINT. Some VERY LIGHT AND SUPERFICIAL abrasions – mostly sleeve scuffs -  are (barely) visible, but are probably inaudible,  and do not affect visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new (a superficial scuff noted on 'Cowboy Movie', not expected to be audible)

(b)          The record comes in the original stock inner sleeve.

(c)           The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

THE COVER IS NICE --- ABOUT EXCELLENT OR VERY GOOD+++.

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Cover has JUST A HINT of ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 1.

-         Visible shelf wear noted on the seams (nothing significant)

-         Cover has a faint, round,  sticker residue (small yellowish discoloration from the removed price sticker)

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No split seams

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)

-        No wrinkles or creases

-        No yellowing from aging

-        No writing

-        No stamps

-        No tearing: no chips, dents or nicks on the seams

-        No peel-off marks

-        No mold or mildew spots

-        No stickers or labels

-        No water damage

-        No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or  cuts.

-        No warping

-        No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover

-        No glue traces or wax residue.

-        No bar codes

-        No RIAA stamps or stickers.
