The Sound of '65 is the debut album by rhythm & blues/jazz group The Graham Bond Organisation and featuring its best-known line-up of Graham Bond on vocals, alto saxophone, Hammond B-3 organ and Mellotron, Jack Bruce on vocals, acoustic and electric basses and harmonica, Dick Heckstall-Smith on tenor and soprano saxophone and Ginger Baker on drums.

THIS LP HAS THE (BLUE AND BLACK COLUMBIA LABELS)!! With 33SX depicting this is the 1st pressing lp with this also on the sleeve.
This heavy thick vinyl Lays flat on my turntable,
And plays through both sides with no skips, pops or crackle, there is some static in the quieter parts of the songs! But nothing at all to disrupt this beautiful full PUNCHY mono sound.
The vinyl under natural light has lots of fine hairline marks, but no deep scratches! GRADED AS VG++ on both sides.

THE LABELS

side (1) the blue columbia label has the tax code MT around the slightly play worn spindle hole.
The label depicts the 1st pressing 33XS sold in the UK. Text wording, this label has no rips or graffiti.

Again this label is free from graffiti spindle hole has play wear, nice label's for the age on both sides!!!.

(The sleeve front)

This laminated tri flapjack sleeve is also in VG+ condition for age, it has a laminate creasing to front, and finger rubbing to mouth opening small split 1cm to bottom right, has all 4 corner bumps.

The original inner bag has done a fantastic job of protecting the RARE VINYL!!! no seam splits and advertises the latest groovy lp from 1965!

The rear of the sleeve is unlaminated white card,
Has hand smudges but is still quite white considering the age! No major stains or graffiti still quite crisp GRADED VG+

The Sound of '65 "may have been the greatest album of the Sixties" and "one of the most exciting and influential of its time" given the respect paid by luminaries like Steve Winwoodand Bill Bruford. This album and the group's second and last, There's a Bond Between Usare now considered "essential listening for anyone who is seriously interested in either British blues, The Rolling Stones' early sound, or the history of popular music, in England or America, during the late '50s and early '60s"and is also known among fans of Cream, which Bond's rhythm section joined in the next year.
