Biglietto Per L'Inferno- Self titled LP on Fonit Cetra/Trident TRI 1005, Torino 1974

I believe it to be the band's first album, fits in generically with the "bubbling under" sounds of the Northern Italian bands of the day drawing from the relative international success of PFM, Banco, New Trolls, etc.. Heavy early Jethro Tull influence here, great flute (seems most tried to integrate some sort of woodwinds, of which there always was countless GREAT players in Italia..

 

The recording, again sounds older (maybe because of dated equipment at Trident vs. more prominent and more highly subsidized studios of the day. A creative band with a penchant for using more tradional instrumentation than most. I know they became a mite heavier on later

projects but this is super-interesting stuff! I guess these guys actually made singles over there,

seems the language barrier was inpenetrable into England, leave alone the US, where none but a handful knew who they were. This record plays fine, I would say VG++, sort of minimalist cover shows signs of wear but all legible and I would say Good condx. I have seen this record around, but not in awhile. Own another piece of Progresso Italiano and go for it!!
