This historic and justly legendary UK only released 3-LP set contains live recordings of the historic 1971 Glastonbury Fayre Festival held at Worthy Farm, Pilton, near Shepton Mallet, Somerset, from Sunday June 20 to Thursday June 24, 1971 (which significantly included Mid-Summers Day). The LP's also contains some material that was recorded elsewhere such as the track Sunken Rags by Marc Bolan which was recorded at his home. The record is sought after for a range of reasons – it contains otherwise unreleased studio material by the afore-mentioned Marc Bolan, David Bowie and Pete Townshend. In addition Grateful Dead fans, Hawkwind and Pink Fairies collectors / completists all seek this incredible item for the unique live recordings these albums contain.

(All vinyl surfaces display a beautiful full glossy deep shine with only a few very faint superficial wispy hairlines visible under bright light. I have just played all 3 LPs and they played superbly with fantastic sound throughout. I doubt if you can find a significantly better condition original Glastonbury Fayre triple vinyl set)

Giant Fold-Out Poster Sleeve: EX

(The huge multi-fold-out double sided poster sleeve is in excellent shape. There are a couple of creases near the two lower corners, minor seam wear, and a small coloured in sticker removal 'lift' tear near the top right corner (see pictures). There are the usual mild 'natural' creases where the poster folds into place, which of course is unavoidable on this giant multi-fold-out poster cover. Overall a great original example of this iconic poster sleeve)

(Light wear only with a very, very tiny pinhole in the lower left corner and a 2cms split on the bottom near the opening)

On offer here, from my own collection, purchased by myself from new in 1972 is a very rare TRIPLE-LP (especially in this condition!!) called "GLASTONBURY FAYRE REVELATIONS - A MUSICAL ANTHOLOGY" and is in SUPERB condition and TOTALLY COMPLETE with ALL INSERTS!!! IT IS VERY VERY RARE TO FIND THIS 3 LP SET COMPLETE WITH ALL ITS ORIGINAL BOOKLETS AND INSERTS - AND IT IS IN GREAT CONDITION TOO!! The TRIPLE LP features VERY RARE live and studio recordings by The Grateful Dead, Brinsley Schwarz, Mighty Baby, Marc Bolan, Pete Townsend, David Bowie, Hawkwind, Skin Alley, Daevid Allen & Gong, Pink Fairies, and The Edgar Broughton Band!!

THIS IS NOT AN LP TO MISS OUT ON!!!! IT IS A VERY, VERY RARE CHANCE TO BUY A FANTASTIC ORIGINAL UK 1ST PRESSING OF THIS TRIPLE-LP IN COMPLETE CONDITION!! Also only 5000 of these TRIPLE-LPs were ever pressed, it was very difficult to find even 25 years ago, and it is estimated that less than 200-300 of these survive today in COMPLETE condition!! You must remember that the type of people that would have bought this set were HEAVY party goers and many of the TRIPLE-LPs bought would have been trashed quite quickly. Also the TRIPLE-LP is VERY fragile, and there are several component parts to it - many LPs bought ended up broken, worn, damaged or with the lovely booklets lost or damaged. BUT THIS ONE IS NOT - IT IS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION!! THIS IS A VERY RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A STUNNING ORIGINAL COPY OF THIS ICONIC 3 LP SET - TOTALLY COMPLETE!! DONT MISS THIS!!

This is the ORIGINAL UK 1972 pressing on the Revelations label, and as previously stated is in superb EXCELLENT condition!! The Triple-LP also has BY FAR the RAREST record labels!! MOST of these Revelations Triple-LPs were pressed with BLACK labels - yet this one is pressed on the earliest GREEN labels - which makes this copy MUCH rarer!! I purchased this album ON THE VERY FIRST DAY  BACK IN 1972 THAT IT WAS AVAILABLE (Virgin Records Oxford Street, London). This 3 LP set is SO VERY HARD to find these days AT ALL - let alone in decent condition!! The record is pressed on thick quality vinyl. The Cat. No is REV 1/2/3 on the RARER 'Green' Revelations label (see picture) and is a Stereo pressing.

I will now try to describe the TRIPLE-LP in a little detail. ALL the COMPLETE seperate component parts are here!! They are - A Printed Outer Polythene Bag, A Stapled 30 Page Booklet, 2 'poster-type' fold out booklets, a make-your-own Black and Silver 'Pyramid', a HUGE 'fold-out' Poster Triple-cover and of course the 3 original 1st pressing vinyl records!!!! Firstly the plastic printed 'polythene' outer cover - this has survived remarkably well with only a few light creases, one very, very tiny hole in the bottom left corner (hardly noticeable) and a small 2cms split also on the bottom edge near the opening, again not of any major issue. There is just some very slight fading of the text - but this is only to be expected - as it is the outer part of the cover and quite fragile. TO FIND THIS IN THIS SORT OF CONDITION IS EXCEPTIONAL - along with the PYRAMID it is the hardest part to find on this fabulous TRIPLE-LP and they are rarely seen AT ALL!! The 'stapled' 30 page booklet, the 2 other fold-out poster-booklets, and the make-your-own Pyramid are all in solid EXCELLENT plus condition with only light wear and, NO writing, NO rips and NO tears.

The giant 'Fold-out' Poster Cover is in near EXCELLENT condition. These often suffer with nasty wear. This copy is in very near EXCELLENT CONDITION with just  a couple of creases near the two lower corners along with some tiny stress creases near the edges. There is a small coloured in sticker 'lift' tear near the top right corner, this is where I removed the original price sticker all those years ago. There is only a little seam wear, and the normal unavoidable fold creases where the giant poster folds into place. All the edges are very straight with only minor feathering.

The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) on all 3 records and have NO wear, NO writing and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!! ALL 3 records come in their ORIGINAL 'MADE IN ENGLAND' poly-lined inner sleeves which are also in excellent condition. All 3 LPs are visually in EXCELLENT+ condition with only a few very light non-audible wispy hairlines and the odd removal from inner sleeve mark. REGARDING PLAYING - ALL sides play crackle free and have a 'just pressed' look!! ALL sides play EXCELLENTLY throughout with NO jumps, NO sticking, NO hiss and NO distortion. It is truly rare these days to find any copies of this iconic GLASTONBURY FAYRE 3 LP SET in this sort of EXCELLENT and COMPLETE condition!

MINT (M): The record / cd displays barely any signs of use, if any, with no marks or deterioration in sound quality. Extra items and cover are near perfect.

EXCELLENT (EX): Shows only minor signs of being played with very little lessening in sound quality. The Cover and extras will have some light wear and or creasing

VERY GOOD (VG): Has been played many times but has no major deterioration in sound quality, despite some noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches. Cover and extras will have normal wear and tear but no major defects

GOOD (G): Has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and any extras may suffer from folding, scuffing, split spine, discoloration etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable and has considerable surface noise and may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly. Covers badly damaged or partly missing
