WESTMINSTER STEREO - US PressingThe 3 LPs are in VG/EX condition. LP 1 (Brahms) has a couple of short repetitive ticks, and a few pops and ticks. No surface noise and excellent sound, LP 2 (Tchaikovsky) also has a couple of short repetitive ticks, and a few pops and ticks. No surface noise and excellent sound LP 3 (Encores) Has a couple of short repetitive ticks, a few pops/ticks. No surface noise and excellent sound. Cover is in EX condition, a few very small marks but over all condition is very presentable.
This 'Westminster Multiples' set of the violinist Erica Morini is an absolute treat! It is stereo though it is listed as 'Technically Augmented' on the front of the cover.
All of the performances are first rate, and some of the playing, notably the Faust Waltz (Gounod/Saraste) is stunning! The cadenza in the Brahms is totally new to me, I have no idea who it is by, possibly it is by Ms Morini herself? Either way it is impressive.
There are a couple of repetitve ticks on each LP, but these dont in anyway get in the way of what is on offer. A truly wonderful set of records!
Please note, I do not grade records on visual appearance. I listen to them in their entirety and my grading is based upon the quality of the sound. I do not clean the records as I do not have a professional cleaning machine.Most of these records come from a collection owned by a retired music professor which I am selling on his behalf. There are some real gems in the collection so please look at the other items I have listed.
