Description
Edison Diamond Disc record #10067, "Holiday Greetings from the Bunch at Orange" in E- condition, modern protective paper sleeve. This is one of the "holy grails" of Edison records, and a requirement to anyone's Edison collection.
Record is in E- condition: plays clearly, with no visible scratches or chips, no greying or stuck grooves, low background noise characteristic of later white-label Diamond Disc records. The first few seconds of side 1 have a background pop that plays through. I've attempted to photograph both sides accurately - there are no visible scratches or marks (pictures show reflections).
Both original color record labels are in good condition - slightly yellowed, although label on side 1 has a needle run / cut probably from someone playing it on a modern player at some point.
This is one of only two records released by Edison with his voice recorded. It was not sold to the public, but was sent to Edison Dealers and Jobbers in 1924 as a pep-talk for improving sales in 1925. It is unusual in that you hear from not only Thomas Edison and his son Charles, but key people within Edison phonographs:
