Description
Led Zeppelin II
ORIGINAL UK Lp
RED & PLUM LABELS
PRODUCED BY JIMMY PAGE, LEMON SONG & 'THANKYOU' misspelling.
(Another from my own Zeppelin collection)
CLEANED WITH Pro-Ject VC-S MkII Vacuum Record Cleaner.
Released in October 1969, this Lp was the follow up to the hugely successful Zeppelin I... & what an album...Being the groups very first album to reach No. 1 in both the UK and the USA.
The album production was entirely credited to Jimmy Page.
(as a little note: In November of 1999 the album was certified 12X platinum!!)

EX-
Yes....That good.
I have just gently cleaned her with a Pro-Ject VC-s MKII vacuum record cleaner and then listened to her all the way through...W-O-W.
The bass is deep and rich and the highs are simply fantastic....TURN THIS BABY UP-I did!
WOW-Superb drums kicking in at the start-magical! And Ooooh, the escalation of the bass line on Ramble On is a pure joy to listen to..
Jimmy Pages guitar screams out on Whole Lotta Love!
There was some light, but only occasional background crackle-more evident in the break-down of the track Thank You...that really is the only detraction (and not much at all to worry about) to this wonderful slab of vinyl.
Did I mention the glorious, ground shaking bass??!!...MAGICAL!!
FLAT as the day she was born.
I am only selling this one from my personal stock as I have too many copies now ;).
!!!!AS ZEPPELIN WANTED YOU TO HEAR THEM-with just some occasional and very brief original pops and crackle ;)!!!!
The Labels:
EX+!
ORIGINAL ORANGE & PLUM labels.
There are only a couple of incredibly light spindle marks evident when angled towards the light and really looking for them.
WOULD FRAME INCREDIBLY WELL.
LEMON SONG title...This was later removed by Peter Grant as he was fearful of being sued by Blind Lemon Jefferson.
'THANKYOU' spelt without the space...This was an oversight and was quickly rectified, so not many of these out there!
MADE IN Gt. BRITAIN

The all important 1st pressing "COPYRIGHT CONTROL" credit to BOTH sides.
PRODUCED BY JIMMY PAGE (ON BOTH SIDES)...This shows Jimmy Page was now a permanent member of the line-up, following their hugely succesful 12 moth tour of America.

The Cover:
VG(+).
Original 1st printing lighter 'CHOCOLATE' coloured GATEFOLD cover with justy some light wear to her-Please see the pictures provided.
States "Lemon Song" in the sleeve track listing.
These covers are notorious for shelf wear and light ring wear, but this one shows very little of ring wear just shelf wear to the edges..But she really is in great condition.
To the back is a slight indentation-I think this is due to the fact this copy has been stored next to Zeppelin III for many years and the central spindle of III has gentle left it's mark..Not bad at all-just lovely to see she was kept next to her compadre for all these years :)
A little rubbing to the spine and edges too-but no splits.
NO WRITING.
NO TEARS.
"Printed and made by EJ DAY & Co, London W11"
"UPTIGHTAN OUTASIGHT"
THE EARLIEST PRINTING CREDIT HERE.

EX+.
It is the ORIGINAL two-windowed inner sleeve with the "Plastic bags can be dangerous" statement box to one side. Barely even any discolouration and just some light creasing-that is all-certainly did her job by looking after the vinyl for the last 50 years! :)
NO SPLITS OR WRITING
