Description
The first pressing of David Bowie on the Philips Label. United Kingdom 1969. Later reissued by RCA as ‘Space Oddity’ with a Ziggy era cover. This record has been very well looked after and is in Near Mint /Ex Condition for a 55 year old record. Issued on black Philips labels with silver print in an illustrated gatefold cover with lyrics inside. ℗1969 SBL 7912 on sleeve, SBL.7912 on labels. Inner gatefold notes: “Front cover by Vernon Dewhurst based on ‘CTA 25 Neg’ by Victor Vasarely....’The Depth of the Circle’ Back cover by George Underwood. Track A2.2 is not listed on either sleeve or centre label. This 'hidden track' was edited out of the 1969 US Mercury edition of "Man Of Words / Man Of Music" and subsequent RCA reissues of "Space Oddity". I am a David Bowie Collector, not a business.
