Description

An original 1st press of S2S on the UK RCA label. Matrix 1E/2E. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover. Also included is the original RCA inner sleeve and credit insert. Note how the inner sleeve is date coded to 1/76 - January 1976 the 1st month of release. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has clearly seen only very light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. One of Bowie's truly great albums and you really need to hear it at 1st pressing on a perfect copy. It just delivers..and keeps delivering the whole way through. Interference is extremely limited. I'll do my usual catch-all...you might detect a couple of isolated crackles in a couple of spots per side..[e.g the opening couple of seconds]. A really sweet playing copy that would be difficult to improve upon. Note - some rumples on the side 2 label - these are very common and are actually a manufacturing fault that occurred at the point that they applied the labels.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and as you can imagine this title is not all that easy to find in tip top condition. Lovely white unaged and untarnished cover front and back. I can only make out super-light handling.. it is very impressive. There's barely any edge wear at all and the openings are sharp. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very impressive example that would be hard to improve upon.
Insert (Ex+) No ageing. Close on perfect.
Inner (Ex-) No splits. Lightest ageing.
