Description

This is a reissue LP of the UK Christian Psych band OUT OF DARKNESS.  Original LP was issued on Key Records label in UK in 1970.  This reissue is on the German label Little Wing of Refugees. I am not sure what year this reissue came out, but Ken Scott's book ARCHIVIST says 1990.

The LP is in near mint condition and comes in a unique record cover that is actually a poster!  Very different.  The cover/poster has a few slightly crumpled corners.

As to the music itself, here is a quote from Ken Scott's book, ARCHIVIST:

"Virtual Tyrannosaurus Rex of early Jesus music crawling out from the London underground.. Heavy duty progressive hard rock scorcher with tons of loud blistering guitar work which gets incredibly spastic at times.. Nods to 70's sounds of Hendrix, Cream, punchy Stones rhythm guitar..."

I scanned both the cover and the label.

Please note:  I'm looking for information on early Christian bands.  If you are a musician who played in a "Christian" band in the 70's or early 80's, please email me at Tinmancafe@aol.com   I'd like to find out where your band played ( churches, bars, clubs ); what style of music your band played; did your band record an LP or tape, etc.

I like progressive rock, moody art-rock, blues-rock and some folk-rock.   Similar to the styles of  YES, ELP, Proto-Kaw, Kerry Livgren, Kansas, Glass Harp ( with Phil Keaggy ), Jimmy Hotz ( his great "Beyond the Crystal Sea LP ! ), Oden Fong ( "Come for the Children" LP ), Moody Blues, Jeff Johnson, Semaja ( Christian progressive band from Germany ! ) etc.   I'm sure there are more Christian bands who play progressive or psych or blues rock.  If you know of any Christian bands who play ( or did play ) in any of these styles, please email me.

My email address is Tinmancafe@aol.com

Regarding rare Christian albums, I'm not really a collector.  However, back in the 70's, I bought all 3 LP's by the Wilson McKinley band.  I gave away all 3 LP's !
