Description

An original 1st press of STS on the UK RCA label. Matrix 1E/1E - 1st cut. It really is worth insisting on the early copies in this period - this a very decent solid pressing for the late 70's. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover with the credit insert. There's also the original RCA inner sleeve dated to "12-75" - one month prior to 1st release. So, we're 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In fantastic condition and has seen only light use. The surfaces are like looking really nice with nothing more than a few light marks per side - nothing heavy of likely to cause major issue. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with two deviations. An absolute banger of a copy.. this is one of the finest renditions I've ever witnessed. Intros and inbetweens are beautifully quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Consistently clean - which is not something you can often say. The only thing that was vaguely noticeable was a couple of ticks in the intro to "TVC15" - and a couple of clicks in the intro to "STAY"- and a couple of further ticks later in the track. Providing you can live with these brief and innocuous issues the rest of the LP is totally knock-out. Rich detailed audio - very highly recommended.
Cover (Ex) Again, someone's really taken care of this copy. Almost perfectly white with no signs of surface wear or ageing at all really. The only visual fault is a crease running across the bottom left corner. Edge wear is pretty much totally absent - very unusual. The spine is 100% intact - this is incredibly hard to find. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A beautiful specimen that would be very hard to improve upon.
Insert (Ex+) Unaged. No creasing. Pretty much perfect.
Inner (Ex) Beautifully preserved with minimal ageing. No splits.
