DOOBIE BROTHERS Stampede Quadraphonic Reel to Reel Tape PLAY TESTED.
This is a very rare album in Quadraphonic Reel to Reel format.
Visual Condition: The box is in amazing condition. It was from an Audiophile's collection so it was hardly handled. The tape itself is in wonderful condition with no visible wear.
Audio Fidelity: Sadly there is a repetive high pitch ringing during the leader before the first track, and the first 5 seconds of Sweet Maxine are muted. (This muffiling is during the piano intro and stops completely a few moments before the iconic guitar riff). I think it's possible to blank the ringing without messing with the audio but I'll leave that to someone else. Other then the mentioned problems the tape plays fantastically. I just bought new speakers and the tracks on this album blew me away.
If you can endure the first 5 seconds being barely audible then this tape for you.
