"NOWHERE TO GO" - - DIZZY REECE/TUBBY HAYES QUARTET - - TEMPO EXA 86 - - WOW!!! - - THE RAREST OF THE RARE!!! - - MAGNIFICENT BRITJAZZ SOUNDTRACK !!! - - This incredibly rare Britjazz soundtrack, written by Dizzy Reece, for the Ealing Film, "Nowhere to go", is considered by officionados, as still the finest Jazz soundtrack ever, for a British film!!! - - The pianoless quartet, a la Mulligan, features the exquisite trumpet work of Reece, plus the great Tubby Hayes on both tenor and a rare recording of his superb baritone work on the opening track, "Main title", the bass spot is impeccably filled, by Canadian, Lloyd Thompson, with a pedigree as accompanist to the Likes of Zoot Sims and Pia Beck etc: - finally the drum chair is filled by the inimitable, Phil Seamen, phenomenal thruout, just listen to him on track 2, "The escape and the chase", he is truly awesome!!! - - The remaining 2 trax are, "The search,(on the scene)", an excellent marching type blues and finally, "The sunset scene, (Nowhere to go)". The laminated flipback sleeve is a VG grading, with a neat cover repair, still remaining very attractive and with perfectly clear, crisp liner notes, the disc is a very strong VG+, with excellent red/white labels and tri-centre - - there are a few intermittent VERY LIGHT tics and surface noise in only a couple of places, and still remains a great jazz listening experience !!! A fantastically rare item, this is a very rare opportunity to acquire a copy at last!!! - - Many of you who know me, will agree that my grading is usually on the side of caution, I can assure you, this would happily be on my shelf had I not a mint copy of my own!!! - - Started with no reserve, good luck with your bidding and thankyou for your interest - - £9.99
