Description
DAVID BOWIE
The Man Who Sold The World
(Mercury 6338 041) 1971
Here’s a UK first pressing of Bowie’s brilliant third album, as issued in the UK in April 1971.
Please look closely at the photos!
SLEEVE
The flimsy, textured ‘dress cover’ is in solid VG+ condition. There’s a small split in the top centre and another halfway down the spine. There’s a thin line running across the top of the front; I have seen this on other copies and assume it occurred during manufacture. The spine is easily legible (see pictures), and there’s no ringwear, writing, stickers or tape. This is one of the best examples I have ever seen.
DISC
The vinyl is in EX condition. Both playing surfaces are clean, with only light hairlines visible under light, and the music plays with minimal surface noise. Both labels bear the ‘Tonny Visconti’ credit and show clear signs of spindle-wear.
Rest assured that I know how to pack records! The disc will be sent outside the sleeve, and the package will be stiffened with cardboard.
Payment is expected promptly via PayPal.
I will happily ship worldwide, but insist on tracking.
Thanks and good luck.
