PINK FLOYD The Dark Side Of The Moon (Original 1973 US Harvest 10-track vinyl LP with “1973 Gramophone Company LTD. text on back cover labels, housed in its iconic gatefold picture sleeve with an, original black 1st issue/release unpeeled stickers USA. The sleeve shows no storage wear album is flawless, Rare Condition - essential! SMAS- 11163 ).
This album is from my personal collection I purchased this album March 4, 1973 in, Ville Platte, Louisiana at, Floyds Record Shop. The album has all labels/stickers still attached to the shrink wrap which is still sealed. All corners are sharp with no bends, bumps or no record ring wear on cover.
The Dark Side of the Moon was released first in the US on 1 March 1973, and then in the UK on 24 March. It became an instant chart success in Britain and throughout Western Europe; by the following month, it had gained a gold certification in the UK and US. Throughout March 1973 the band played the album as part of their US tour, including a midnight performance at Radio City Music Hall in New York on 17 March, watched by an audience of 6,000. Highlights included an aircraft launched from the back of the hall at the end of "On the Run", which 'crashed' into the stage in a cloud of orange smoke. The album reached the Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart's number one spot on 28 April 1973, and was so successful that the band returned two months later for another tour.

Release Information: Original 1st issue with "INTERPAK Pats. Pending." text in the lower right corner of the inside cover. No bar codes on the cover. The U.S. release has different posters than those issued with the European releases.
Test Pressing: A pre-release acetate test pressing for the Pink Floyd album, Dark Side of the Moon, was made with a white Capitol Records test pressing label with black text. Catalog number SMAS-1-11163. Issued in an Audio Devices, Inc. of New York slip cover.
Description: Gatefold cover.
Cover: Black with prism. On inside cover in the lower right corner it says "Copyright TRO Hampshire House Publishing Corp. All rights reserved. INTERPAK Pats. Pending."
Cover Sticker: 1st issued came with a round black Dark Side of the Moon sticker on the shrink wrap that says "Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon SMAS 11163."
Inserts:
1) Pyramid Poster: A green pyramid poster with "Printed in U.S.A." at bottom left, and "SMAS-11163-1" at bottom right. At the bottom center, it says " PINK FLOYD DARK SIDE OF THE MOON."
2) Group Poster: A six-pane group shot poster in portrait style with "Printed in U.S.A." at bottom left, and "SMAS-11163-2" at bottom right.
3) Labels: 1st issue came with “Black” Harvest label with prism.
Text around bottom edge of label starts at 8 o'clock and says:
