KISS Destroyer LP 1st Casablanca Ed. SIGNED BY ACE FREHLEY & PETER CRISS Nice

Up for bid is a gem that I really hate to let go. This auction is for a 1st U.S. pressing of KISS's landmark 1976 Casablanca Records studio LP entitled "Destroyer." Aside from this LP being in very well preserved condition for a 1st edition, this LP has been signed by both Ace Frehley and Peter Criss! I got both of them to sign this LP back in October of 2010 when I attended two different conventions/expos seeking to personally obtain some great KISS-related autographs. Ace signed this LP at the Spooky Empire Ultimate Horror Weekend in Orlando, FL on October 8, 2010. Later in the month, I had the opportunity to get Peter Criss to sign the LP at the Chiller Theatre Expo on October 29, 2010. Both Ace and Peter signed the LP in silver, but Ace rather unwisely used a paint pen and subsequently grazed the cover with his hand after signing it thus smeared some of his signature. I couldn't believe he did that, but he didn't even seem to notice. Nonetheless, the autograph still turned out reasonably well. I let it dry and all was well. On the other hand, Peter used a silver Sharpie for his autograph, so his autograph turned out much neater. He also wrote the year out beside his signature (why I am unsure, but he was still adding dates to his autographs at the NY/NJ KISS Expo earlier this month). Anyway, I've provided pictures of me with Ace and Peter that were taken at these respective events. I've been fortunate enough to meet them several times over the last ten years, so I have attempted to get my most beloved KISS items signed. Nonetheless, I was never completely satisfied with this Destroyer LP given Ace's less-than-stellar signature, so I've decided to part with it in hopes I can get Ace to carefully sign another Destroyer LP that I have. I would love to see this LP go to someone who will appreciate it, however.

While I never had intentions of actually playing this LP once I got it signed, I still wanted to have a nice 1st edition pressing of Destroyer. I found this LP on eBay back in 2009, so I bought it because it had been well maintained. This particular pressing of Destroyer is indeed a first edition (as evidenced by the black [not silver] lettering on the blue "Bogart" label), and it comes with the super-rare SIDE-LOAD inner sleeve. The vinyl looks really good for a used LP; sure it has some minor blemishes but nothing that causes skips or popping. Likewise, the LP jacket looks great with minimal storage wear evident. This is a great piece, and while the LP has its slight flaws (including Ace's somewhat botched autograph) it still looks quite impressive. This might be a great purchase for someone planning to attend an upcoming KISS Meet and Greet so that Paul and Gene could add their signatures to this piece. Since Peter claims he is retiring from autograph signings, this is a great opportunity to get what is sure to become a rare autograph from Peter Criss. This piece looks amazing, so if you ever wanted an authentic KISS-signed version of "Destroyer," this LP is a perfect selection. I'm pricing the LP well below what I paid for the vinyl and the fees for Ace and Peter's autographs--which were $30 and $50 at the time of their respective signings.

Shipping Policies and Procedures

Please use eBay's shipping calculator to obtain an estimate of shipping costs for a particular item or contact me and request that I provide a shipping quote. Too often buyers are bidding with little awareness of the shipping costs and then deciding not to pay upon finding out the shipping fee. This typically happens with international buyers who have not investigated shipping costs beforehand. Please understand that I DO NOT inflate shipping rates or charge handling fees. In fact, I usually lose money on shipping because I do not charge for packing materials. Buyers only pay the exact estimated shipping costs and nothing more. Therefore, when bidding consider the weight and size of an item before determining that a shipping estimate is too high. I provide the shipping calculator for this very reason.

I pride myself on serving fellow eBayers quickly and professionally. I make every effort to ship items within 12-24 hours of receiving payment. In rare exceptions (such as over weekends or holidays), it might take a maximum of 48 hours to ship an item once payment has been received. I want all buyers to receive their merchandise as quickly as possible because as a fellow eBayer I also appreciate sellers who ship items expediently. This being said, domestic buyers who choose slow shipping options such as Media Mail or Parcel Post must realize and expect items to take longer to arrive. Therefore, please don't negatively affect my "shipping time" rating by docking me unfairly. Likewise for international buyers; I make every effort to get international shipments in the mail immediately because of the time it takes for items to reach their destination. Please be aware, however, that once an item leaves the USA I have little to no control over time of delivery or even tracking information. Some countries have slower customs processes than others, such as Canada for example, and there is simply nothing I can do to change that. Again, when leaving feedback, please bear these factors in mind. I strive for 5-star feedback, and if I fail to perform I should earn less than  a 5-star rating. However, I also want my ratings to accurately and fairly reflect my performance and not conditions that are beyond my control.

Returns Policy

As I rule, I generally do not accept returns. I buy and sell on eBay as a hobby, so I do not have cash reserves to cover buyer's remorse and repeated returns. However, in the event I make a mistake or unwittingly misrepresent an item, I will happily accept a return and do what is necessary to make things right in the eyes of the buyer. While mistakes aren't the norm for me, I am human and thus prone to the rare unintentional lapse. However, I ask that buyers are judicious in reviewing any auction listing and ask questions if they are uncertain about an item's condition, publication information, or contents. Likewise, I provide plenty of pictures of the exact items up for sale, so please review those closely in advance of placing bids.
