Description

Bob Dylan - Rolling Thunder Review Bootleg Series Vol. 5 (Columbia). This is the original, audiophile vinyl LP box set from Classic Records (not the recent reissue). Classic Records was a highly regarded audiophile company, who released the Dylan Bootleg Series Vol. 5 on 200G vinyl in 2003.

This box set was mastered by the legendary Bernie Grundman. There is a "BG" written in the run-out grooves of the LP's.

I purchased this box set in 2003, and opened it, but never played it. The 3 LP's have never been played. The LP's are in beautiful picture sleeves.

The booklet is 12" x 12" and 64 pages.

Also included is a bonus 7" single on blue vinyl with alternate live versions of Tangled Up in Blue & Isis. Also included is a poster, a handbill, and two replica tickets to a Rolling Thunder concert. Even an original drawing postcard to mail to Classic Records is included.

The box has been kept in a plastic sleeve ever since I purchased it in 2003. So essentially, this box has been in a time capsule. The only defect are 1.5" seam splits on the top edge of the picture sleeves (the splits happened when Classic Records shipped the box to me). The LP's are now outside of the color sleeves, in poly lines paper sleeves, to protect against any further splits.

Disc Grading

M - = Mint Minus. Darn near perfect. Looks new.

VG++ = Plays perfectly, but may have some scuffs or marks.

Booklet/Back Cover Grading

M- = Looks new.

VG++ = Still looks good, but used.
