Big John Patton Along came John w.Vick-G.Green Blue Note NY ear Van Gelder mono 'Big' John Patton ' Along came John ' BLUE NOTE BLP 4130 (USA) mono N.Y. label - issued in 1963 - on trail-off (dead wax) has printed 'Van Gelder' and has the 'ear' - has the original Blue Note inner sleeveJohn Patton : organ - Fred Jackson, Harold Vick : tenor sax - Grant Green : guitar- Ben Dixon : drums Side 1 : The silver meter (Ben Dixon) - I'll never be free Weiss-Benjamin) - Spiffy Dixy (Dixon) Side 2 : Along came John (Patton) - Gee Gee (Patton) - Pig foots (Dixon)
Visual grading : record is VG still with much lustre has few light unfeelable surface marks and one evident feelable scratch on track 2 of side1. Clean labels with light spindle wear
Playing grading : record is VG to VG+ plays fairly well with loud and clear sound. Has a light occasional background noise and few loud pops on track 2 of side 1 due to the above mentioned scratch Cover grading : cover is VG+ to EX- has very light wear to edges, corners and to spine which has all titles fully readable. Front is very clean and back has a light rubbing and yellowing around the edges
