Description
This is a lovely UK 1st press LP from Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath, issued in 1970 on Vertigo - Cat No: VO 6, includes original swirl poly inner sleeve, matrix details are:
- (Side A, stamped, variant 5): V0 6 1Y * 1 420 12 1
- (Side B, stamped, variant 5): V0 6 2Y * 1 420 12 2
First issue released on the ''swirl'' Vertigo label with big logo above spindle hole and the wording ''Vertigo'' below spindle hole and 'A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT' text.
Comes in a gatefold cover and with a ''swirl'' inner bag. The gatefold cover is slightly textured compared to later issues and has different upper-case only credits on inner gatefold.
Vertigo inner sleeve reports: 'MADE IN ENGLAND British Patent No. 800513 & 973939 - PLASTIC BAGS CAN BE DANGEROUS - TO AVOID SUFFOCATION KEEP THOS BAG AWAY FROM BABIES AND CHILDREN'

Both these and The Doors LP titles came from the same collector who was passionate about their records and were carefully played and stored, these are some of the best I have seen for a while, bid with confidence.

CONDITION - PLEASE READ & LOOK AT PHOTOS CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING!
Both sides when held up to a light just literally show a few of tiny feint sleeve spot like surface marks only, both sides still retain their shiny black finish, this played superb through out. The sleeve is in excellent condition for it's age, there are no side/seam splits and this has a fully readable spine, the swirl inner has no splits.
