Description
The time has come for me to part with my 50 year old Beatles collection. This collection consists of LP's, 45's, picture sleeves, EP's, 12" singles, picture discs, sealed LP's, test pressings, acetates, promos, box sets, and CD's from the US and the UK. The collection also includes vinyl and CD's from John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Apple artists. There are numerous rarities in this collection. The vast majority of the vinyl is in NM- to NM condition; I tried not to acquire anything with a grade below that, or attempted to upgrade, although a few of the extremely hard to find items I was unable to upgrade and they will have a grade below that. If you are a Beatles collector, be sure to bookmark me as the items I'll be listing will surely be of interest. Here we go; a splendid time is guaranteed for all.
The Beatles & Frank Ifield-"Jolly What!" LP, Vee Jay VJS 1085, released in 1964. This is the much scarcer Stereo pressing. Yet another attempt by Vee Jay to capitalize on their small Beatles catalog, this features four Beatles tunes; the rest are by Frank Ifield. Vinyl, VISUALLY graded by Goldmine standards, is in VG condition, with numerous, but very light, non-feelable marks. Both sides still retain their full gloss. Cover is also in VG condition, mainly due to the writing on the back. In addition, in their rush to get this to market, they should have used a proof reader as the text on the back states "this COPULATION" has been presented...". Also includes the scarce inner sleeve, in overall nice shape with a spilt on one side. Definitely authentic with "Audio Matrix" and "MR" circled (both partial, not uncommon) stamped in the dead wax and spine print on the cover. Very scarce piece of Beatles vinyl; this is hard to find in any condition.
