THE BEATLES - 'STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER'/'PENNY LANE'
This superb UK 1st pressing dates from initial February 1967 release on the black & silver Parlophone label: R 5570
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text with 'The Gramophone Co..' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the 'Penny Lane' label & in both run-outs.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18415-1 & 7XCE 18416-2
Stamper codes: 2/HO & 5/MP
Housed within its original limited edition colour picture sleeve.
Complete with a genuine & original 1960's ex-record shop stock paper bag.

A clean & unworn set with just a collection of tiny well-aimed spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine deep-gloss playing surfaces which are unworn & unmarked in strong daylight, with just a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines visible directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
Both songs have never sounded better than they do on this pressing which provides reference sound quality for both tracks. Each is completely unworn and plays with an incredible clarity and power missing from any other format and is guaranteed not to disappoint.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A highly respectable example of this fragile cover which is fully intact with just slight age-toning to the paper & a few gentle wrinkles from storage, but no writing, tears or seam splits.
