Description

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

(Parlophone PMC 7027 UK LP 1967)

This is a UK original LP pressing. It has a fully laminated gatefold sleeve which has inner flipbacks. This is the earliest UK sleeve, it has "Fourth Proof" & "AR D 1321" stamped on the inner top flipback, on the right-hand side. It comes complete with "The Fool" designed psychedelic inner sleeve. The record has yellow & black Parlophone labels. They have "The Gramophone Co.." & "Sold In The UK..." texts.

The matrix numbers are: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1. The mother stampers are RTP 4 & RAM 2 respectively. "KT" is stamped around the spindle hole on Side 1. There is no insert. A genuine UK 1st mono pressing with the rare "fourth proof" sleeve variation.

Gatefold Sleeve: There is a fair amount of rubbing wear to the spine. Including a 7cm patch where the laminate has rubbed away to the card. Otherwise mild wear only. Good+ condition.

Vinyl: Mild to moderate sleeve rubs that can be seen under a strong light, and the very occasional light hairline marks. Good++ condition. There is a name written on Side 1's label, otherwise moderate spindle wear. Plays very well. With only light crackle in some of the quieter places. There is some mild writing on one side of the inner sleeve. There is also a 4" seam split at the bottom. Otherwise fine.

Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).

Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £40. Overseas buyers will add £5.25 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
