1969 UK 3rd *STEREO* PRESSING
**EXCELLENT COPY**
This rare 1969 stereo pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3075
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' stereo cover.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 178-3 & YEX 179-3
Stamper numbers: 2/RL & 2/RD
Labels: Side 1 NEAR MINT Side 2 EXCELLENT
A few tiny sections of missing paper around the yellow 'Parlophone' lettering label on label 2.
Visual: Side 1 EXCELLENT Side 2 NEAR MINT
Pristine glossy surfaces 'as new' surfaces bearing just a single scuff and two small hairline scratches on side 1. Side 2 is unmarked.
Close inspection directly beneath a halogen desk lamp reveals no further marks or wear to either side.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: Side 1 EXCELLENT Side 2 NEAR MINT
Clean, clean & warm sound from all tracks without any traces of background crackle or groovewear distortion.
Apart from a few light ticks on 'Norwegian Wood' & 'I'm Looking Through You', there is no significant audible wear to either side.
Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS
Correct thinner card cover with a clean, undamaged front laminate which bears just a few light spine & 'thumbnails' but no heavy creasing.
The corners are clean & sharp and apart from a small 1cm edge repair towards the lower right corner, there is no handling wear to the opening edge.
The rear panel is pristine white & clean with no discolouration, marks, writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks are present and both the spine & seams are clean & undamaged.
All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
