This ORIGINAL Los Angeles 1st Pressing STEREO version of RUBBER SOUL by THE BEATLES was released December 1965 on Capital Records ST 2442.    This record is a beauty,  a collector's gem!

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

-      This is a Stereo First Pressing with Capitol's Los Angeles Pressing Plant's "?" Stamper in 
the Dead Wax and has Black Labels with Capitol Color Band / Rainbow around their perimeters / outer edges. 

-      The ''New Improved'' caption is in brown inside the picture and there is no ''File Under'' caption in the top border. 

-      The individual names (John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr are above the spindle hole; does not mention the group's name (The Beatles). The ''Stereo'' caption reaches over the tracklisting.

-      Includes the original sleeve

-      #6 on back cover

-       First pressing, which omits "The Beatles" from the record's label and uses their names instead. Later issues were corrected. Source: Perry Cox and Frank Daniels - Price Guide For the Beatles American Records.

Perfect original condition, usually sealed, never played.

NEAR MINT (NM)  

The record has been rarely played.  There are no marks on the vinyl and it includes the original packaging.   There are no audible or visual flaws.

EXCELLENT (EX)  

The record plays almost like new, but may have some light marks that do no affect the play.  The record shows little sign of wear.   The cover may show some slight wear (ring or corners), but in general looks pristine with no significant creases/splits.

VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+)  

A well-cared-for record that is less than perfect, but plays very well with no skips or distortion.  May include light scuffs or scratches and a little surface noise, but nothing to compromise the record visually or audibly.  The cover may show more ring and edge wear.

VERY GOOD (VG)

The record has been played a bit, but still has life in it.  Surface noise may be evident and sleeves may look worn, but you can still listen and enjoy the record.  It’s visually and audibly used, but still in decent shape.

GOOD+ (G+)

The record is well worn, but is playable.  The record may have lot of surface noise and scratches; sleeves may have defects, but are still intact.  Good+ would only be sold at a bargain basement price.
