Description
I am selling a number of my late Husbands records over the coming months and will only be listing 1 at a time, mainly because i need to understand what they are! I am aware of the rare record guide and have used this for my grading, I have decided due to my lack of knowledge grade cautiously. I cannot say how the play unfortunately as I no longer have a record player. The collection has Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper and many others.
This record is The Beatles Please Please Me, PMC 1202 Black & Gold label(Northern Songs credit) with a "Factory Sample" sticker . This was I recall given to my late husband sometime in the early 70's by a friend who had previously worked at the EMI pressing plant in Hayes.
Mono Cover is in G+ condition. The front cover has some creasing and bottom left the laminate has come away See Pictures) the Angus Mcbean credit is correctly positioned for a 1st press sleeve and is fully legible, the back has wear to the flick back with some of them missing in the corners. the spine has some where and parts of the title are missing . Top edge is not too bad, but the bottom edge has lost 50% of it laminate.
Labels are free of any writing or major defect, some spindle marks but look very nice (see pictures) VG. MT tax code is shown.
Vinyl is nice a flat with still a nice gloss. It does show numerous marks and light scratches but nothing I can feel. Its strange but when photographing the marking was hard to show but please look at the pictures closely. I am slightly hesitant to grade as VG, so will hedge on the cautious and say Good+ Please not that I do not have a record player so my grading is visual only. Matrix XEX421-4N & XEX422-4N
The inner emitex bag is creased but has no splits or tears.
