Labels: EXCELLENT +
A superb set with just a small handful of light, well-aimed spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Flawless, deep-gloss playing surfaces which are totally unmarked and 'as new' in strong daylight, with just a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines visible upon close examination directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp. Both sides of this high-quality disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
This superb sounding copy has clearly received just a few extremely careful plays and the much maligned mono mix shines at high volume, sounding warm and powerful throughout. Apart from a hint of background on 'Every Little Thing', my single careful play-check at volume detected no deterioration to the sound quality. Neither are there any clicks, ticks or pops on or between any of these explosive tracks.
Cover: NEAR MINT
One of the hardest covers of the UK catalogue to find in anything approaching this condition, but this superb example has been carefully and correctly stored these past 47 years in a clean, non-smoking environment.
The delicate front leaf is flawless with a perfect, unscratched high-gloss laminate bearing no 'thumbnails', creasing or any damage or wear to the exposed outer edges.
All corners are sharp & unbumped with the only trace of wear being a small shelfwear rub to the lower right corner of the rear pocket, as illustrated in the above right image.
The inside of the gatefold is clean & black where it should be with no discolouration to the white areas or any residue or dirt on the edges of either flipover.
There are no splits or damage to either end of the delicate centre hinge.
The rear panel is as clean & glossy as the front with none of the usual ringwear or disc impression.
The spine retains its full laminate and is clean, square and fully worded. Finally, all seams of the rear pocket are smooth & unstressed. You'll be lucky to find another as good as this.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with a few light storage wrinkles but no writing, tears or splits to any seam.
